Wordful Wednesday

My little hero.

Always on watch and ready to battle evil, and by evil I mean me, the super human super villain more commonly known as Mommy, aka the Meanest Mommy in the World, aka You (with a capital Y), aka Mean Mommy Pants, aka Person with Boobies (however this one was immediately retired for overt inappropriateness).

Although, I spend a disproportionate amount of time as the evil he is battling, I feel that my supersonic hearing, x-ray vision, and ability to heal quickly are no true match for him (but, shhh, he hasn't quite figured it out yet!).

Right now we're in the egotistical-no-one-can-possibly-be-more-important-than-me-puleez phase of preschoolerhood.

Won't be long, though before the I-know-everything-because-I'm-a-teenager-and-I'm-WAY-smarter-and-more-informed-than-you phase shows up.

But, guess what Mr. Know-It-All, I've got my MySpace Page, I Tweet, I watched the Teen Choice Awards on Monday, I'm hip, I'm cool (envision bald headed Dr. Evil doing Macarena), so I'm SO ready for it.

Okay, so maybe I'm not ready for it all.

This worship-me-mommy-and-my-family-of-lowly-peasants preschool phase is suddenly not looking so bad!

Great picture. Love that superhero pose. Lil' D is not into heroes yet. He thinks Spiderman is a man who catches spiders. I'm content with the knowledge that he thinks we have the superpowers. Happy WW and take care.

I love that moment you captured there!

I can't even stand how cute your child is. You may have to deal with a worship-me-like-all-the-girls-at-school-do phase.

Cool stuff! You're such a cool mommy!

Rheanna...I think you have probably hit on something there with the worship-me-like-all-the-girls-at-school-do thought...I can see it coming, already. While every time a girl even says hello to his older brother he goes into the kick-rocks-kick-rocks-until-I-disappear mode, lil bro will be stealing them away. Thank goodness they will have Mimi nearby to beat them off with a stick.
LOL

I was in a movie theater last night (unbelievable!) and I was a preview for a concert with a few rock bands and I knew not one. I am old. But I still love Harry Potter!

You forgot to mention your super powers contained in the thoughts that you spit out on the page. That's meant as a huge compliment, by the way! REALLY loved this post.

I love that picture! It tells so much about the way he feels (about himself and his world). Yes, the attitude will change, and not always for the better. Enjoy it!

The picture of you as Dr. Evil doing the macarena will be lingering with me -- and making me smile -- for the rest of the morning.

Great photo!

Wait, so you have superpowers? WTF? Where are mine?

All i have to protect myself is the ability to dodge projectile poop. Hubby was not so lucky :)

Oh watch out. Mr man is about to beat up any villain in his way. He's just practicing for when he gets older and he can protect his Mommy!

That's such an awesome photo, it really shows his personality well. Yes, these preschool and post preschool years can be quite challenging, but it sure make life un-boring. It was lovely to see you on my blog today! :-)

It's great how teenagers know everything. They're such a great resource for useful info.
