This week’s normally scheduled Cent Saving Saturday post has been interrupted to bring you up to the minute coverage on the weather emergency taking shape in the D.C. Metro area.
Currently, area residents are socked in.
The storm is slated to dump upwards of 2 feet of snow in some areas of the region (naturally that would be the area I live in).

SNOWTASTROPHE (SNOWPACALYPSE? SNOWMAGEDEON?)
Whatever you wanna call it, I can assure you this whole situation is completely SNOWDICULOUS.
People are freakin’ the freak out.
This was the line at Costco yesterday…
Only thing more horrifying was the line at Wal-Mart the day before (which I don’t have a photo of because the conditions were too dangerous to risk pausing to take a photo of; just know that #3 was crying, partially naked, and down a shoe when we left.).
It’s scary.
Because people are scared.
And, when people get scared, they get crazy.
And, we all know what crazy people are…scary.
It’s so SNOWRAGEOUS that I’m talking in circles over here!
At the moment all is well.
All Dumb Family members are present and accounted for.
But, you don’t hear from me again soon, send in the dogs.
The ones with the sleds (and the heaters, and the hot cocoa, and the plush blankets).

No way you can do it during a SNOWLAMITY because once you’ve watched everything you have Tivoed and all of the half way decent crap on PPV, cleaned out your closet, reorganized your pantry, and written a week’s worth of blog posts, the only thing left to do is Internet shop.
I swear to you, if the power goes out I am going to lose my effing mind all Jack-Nicholson-Shining style.
